Challenging AI Developers

Innovation and collaboration are at the heart of the AMD mission to empower the AI community. This year, AMD once again invited AI developers from around the globe to participate in its highly anticipated AI Developer Contest, challenging them to push the boundaries of technology and create groundbreaking projects using AMD hardware. Participants competed across three exciting categories—Generative AI, Robotics AI, and PC AI—showcasing their skills, creativity, and the power of AMD technology to solve real-world challenges.

Each category offered a grand prize of $10,000 USD, alongside additional rewards for second- and third-place winners. This marked the third consecutive year of this prestigious contest, which continues to drive innovation and inspire developers worldwide. To foster academic innovation and champion diversity in technology, AMD also had two special categories- Women in Technology and University Program.

The top 20 teams were invited to showcase their projects at the Advancing AI event, where the first-place winners in each category were honored with awards presented by AMD Chair and CEO, Dr. Lisa Su. This event marked a celebration of talent, creativity, and the future of AI innovation. This contest was a collaborative effort involving teams from engineering, marketing, operations, and developer relations, all of whom played pivotal roles in its success. This united approach ensured that the program reached a diverse pool of developers, including participants from academic institutions and underrepresented groups in tech, reflecting on the commitment by AMD to accessibility, diversity, and innovation.
