Accelerate Your Production Pipeline With AMD Radeon™ Graphics

Throughout the creative industries, pressure on artists is increasing. In visual effects (VFX), game development, motion graphics, design and visualization, projects are getting more complex, while budgets and turnaround times are shrinking. Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) can speed up day-to-day tasks, from asset creation to rendering, helping to ensure that animators and VFX artists meet critical deadlines.

AMD GPUs for Professional Artists and Creators

AMD offers GPU solutions tailored to all types of animation and rendering projects. For tasks that demand ultimate performance and reliability, the AMD Radeon™ PRO W7900 is a workstation-grade graphics card that features a powerful GPU with 48GB of memory to process even large production scenes.

Offering exceptional price performance, GPUs from the AMD Radeon™ RX 7900 Series, designed for gamers and creators, enable games artists to work on the same hardware as players use for gaming.

AMD works closely with most major independent software vendors (ISVs) to help make sure that AMD Radeon and AMD Radeon PRO graphics are optimized, tested and fully supported for the applications you care about most.

Real-time Ray Tracing With HIP and HIP RT

The AMD Heterogeneous-Compute Interface for Portability (HIP) helps software developers bring their renderers to a wider range of users.

An open-source toolset first used in supercomputing, but now being adopted in creative applications, HIP lets developers write portable C++ code that runs on both AMD GPUs and those of other manufacturers and can be used to convert applications to run on AMD.

Its ray tracing library, called HIP RT, lets developers of HIP applications take advantage of the dedicated ray accelerators in current AMD Radeon™ PRO and AMD Radeon™ RX GPUs for real-time ray tracing.

Recently, Maxon has adopted HIP for their Redshift renderer and HIP RT has been implemented by Blender for the Cycles rendering engine. The AMD Radeon™ ProRender SDK is now also based on the new HIP RT technology.

Redshift

Redshift users can now also rely on AMD GPUs for rendering.

AMD worked closely with Maxon to help accelerate rendering workflows for Cinema 4D™ with AMD's HIP technology to enable the Redshift renderer to support recent AMD graphics cards. Redshift is Maxon’s powerful production renderer and integrates tightly with Cinema 4D in the viewport. CPU rendering is available to all Cinema 4D users, while Redshift subscribers can now also take advantage of the power of one or multiple AMD GPUs to accelerate even more complex renders.
