We are currently aware of a situation for users playing Fortnite where a Driver timeout may occur using HEVC hardware encoding on Radeon™ RX 6000 series GPUs. Our engineering teams are working to address this issue with a solution coming soon.
In the meantime, if you wish to specifically use our capture, record and streaming capabilities, please change your “Video Encoding Type” setting to AVC.
To change your “Video Encoding Type” setting to AVC, follow the steps below:
In “AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition” follow these steps:
- From the right corner of top menu choose settings.
- From the ribbon select the “Record & Stream” setting.
- Under Recording section make sure the “Video Encoding Type” is set to AVC.
