Possible Cause
AMD Software Installer detected one or more of the following system issues preventing the installation to proceed.
- Missing critical and/or important Windows® updates
- Graphics driver and software conflicts
- Corrupted registry keys and/or system files
Solution
The following suggestions are provided as possible solutions for error 192:
Update Windows
AMD Software is designed to work best for up-to-date operating systems. Please run Windows Update and apply all available critical and important updates before installing the AMD Software Package.Resolve driver and software conflicts
Use the AMD Cleanup Utility to remove any conflicting or corrupted graphics driver files and registry entries from the system. After successfully running the AMD Cleanup Utility, reinstall the AMD Software Package.Repair System Registry and Files
Run the Windows Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) and System File Checker (SFC) tools as Administrator. The DISM and SFC tools scan the integrity of the Windows image and all protected system files and replaces corrupted, damaged, and incorrect versions.
To run the DISM command use the Windows key + X keyboard shortcut to open the Power User menu, then select Command Prompt (Admin). Type "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth" (without quotes) and press Enter. While running DISM you may notice the process will appear to pause at 20%. After a few minutes the operation will continue.
To run the SFC command use the Windows key + X keyboard shortcut to open the Power User menu and select Command Prompt (Admin). Type "SFC /SCANNOW" (without quotes) and press Enter.

If you are still unable to resolve error 192 after completing the steps outlined above and need further assistance, please contact AMD Customer Care, and attach the AMD Software Installer log file to your service request. The AMD Software Installer log file is located in C:\Program Files\AMD\CIM\Log\Install.log.
