This document provides instructions on how to use AMD Radeon™ Settings to find information about the graphics hardware and software installed in your system. This information is useful to determine whether the currently installed graphics hardware and software meet game or application requirements.
To access this information, follow the steps below:
- Open the AMD Radeon Settings Application. This can be done in any of the following ways:
- Right click on your desktop and select AMD Radeon Settings
- Click on the Radeon Settings icon in the System Tray

- Select AMD Radeon Settings from the Programs menu

- Click on System to view the system overview, software, and hardware details

System Overview
The Overview tab provides a summary of the hardware and software currently installed on the system such; Radeon™ Software Version, Operating System, System Memory, CPU, etc.

Most applications and games require a minimum graphics driver version(Radeon Software Version) installed before it can be launched.
In this example, the Radeon Software Version 17.2.1 is installed (driver numbering follows the [YEAR].[MONTH].[REVISION] convention). Thus, this driver was released as the first revision in February 2017.
Software Information
Select the Software tab for more detailed information about the graphics driver. This screen provides the driver version installed as well as the various software components including; DirectX®, OpenGL®, OpenCL™, Vulkan®, etc.

Hardware Information
Select the Hardware tab for more detailed information about the graphics hardware. This screen provides information about the Device IDs, Video BIOS, Graphics Memory, Clock Speeds, etc.
