Advancing Women in Tech
Promoting equal opportunities for women is part of our broader work to build a more inclusive culture, and this requires intentional effort and continuous change. In 2023, we launched Advancing Women in Tech, a comprehensive learning experience designed to empower, retain, and support AMD women in technical careers
AMD Employees share stories and messages of hope in support of the It Gets Better project. Launched in 2010 as a social media campaign, the It Gets Better project is a non-profit working to uplift and empower LGBTQ+ youth around the world by sharing hopeful stories, along with educational resources and support. AMD participated in this campaign in 2023.
AMD aims to be an employer of choice in a highly competitive industry, and we attract passionate, innovative, fully engaged employees. We recruit diverse talent and foster an inclusive and innovative culture, where the best ideas win, regardless of the individual’s identity.
AMD continues to expand on efforts to provide opportunities for underrepresented groups and women in engineering. Through our University Relations Program, we aim to bring in new perspectives and diverse backgrounds while establishing AMD as a top choice for college students and graduates.

Our talent management activities support the complex and dynamic nature of our business, but our goal is simple: deliver our strategy by having the right talent in place now and in the future.
Our employee resource groups (ERGs) creates a space for employees who share a common identity, along with their allies, to meet and support one another in building their community and sense of belonging in the workplace. At the same time, our ERGs empower employees by giving each group a collective voice to work with senior leadership and increase understanding of their community.
AMD employees are our most important stakeholder group. We use a suite of surveys and other tools to listen to employees at various points throughout their career at AMD to measure engagement and culture and to hear their ideas for how we can continue to improve. We send out annual AMDer Survey to all AMD employees around the world, to gather their feedback and input. In 2023, the response rate was 95 percent, and 91 percent of respondents are proud to work for AMD.
While we do not rely on external recognition to continue our work toward a more diverse and inclusive company and industry, honors and awards reflect our commitment and show the dedication of our people.
Our Global Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Standards establish excellence as the benchmark for AMD sites around the world, and we require all our facilities to meet applicable local, regional, and national regulations. In addition, we set and apply standards that go beyond this: we establish premier practices based on an assessment of risks and hazards across all aspects of the organization to protect employee health and safety.
