AIER 2.0 was created to support scientists, researchers, and academics in their journeys towards solving some of the world’s toughest challenges. The initiative offers discounted access to AMD Instinct MI200 Series accelerator-based systems and resources to help simplify using the AMD ROCm™ open software ecosystem. AMD is continually working to help academics, scientists and researchers accelerate their codes with AMD ROCm open software by providing initiatives like the AMD Instinct Education and Research (AIER) initiative supporting our latest AMD Instinct GPUs.
You will gain access to:
- AMD Instinct GPU & ROCm software technologies
- Development resources on the AMD ROCm Developer Hub, including ROCm DOCs, webinars, and training videos
- Technical guidance on AMD software and hardware solutions
All academics, researchers, and scientists working at higher education universities, along with non-profit organizations are welcome to become part of the AIER 2.0 initiative by filling out the form here.
You fill out the AMD Instinct Education and Research 2.0 initiative member form and submit it. Then, choose and contact your preferred solution partner directly via the provided email address above. You can copy AIER@amd.com, if you want AMD to monitor the process.
Once you send the partner an initiative inquiry on obtaining AMD Instinct accelerator discounts, you should receive a response from the preferred participating solution partner directly, so you can work details on taking advantage of the AIER 2.0 product discounts.

There is no annual fee or other required payments to join the AIER 2.0 Initiative.
