Summary

AMD Ryzen™ AI Software includes the tools and runtime libraries for optimizing and deploying AI inference on AMD Ryzen™ AI powered PCs. Ryzen™ AI software enables applications to run on the neural processing unit (NPU) built in the AMD XDNA™ architecture.  

An external researcher reported four potential vulnerabilities in AMD RyzenTM AI Software caused by improper input validation in the NPU driver.  The first three vulnerabilities may allow an attacker to supply a specially crafted pointer which could potentially lead to arbitrary code execution. The fourth vulnerability may allow an attacker to provide a buffer with unexpected size, which could potentially lead to a system crash.

AMD recommends updating to the AMD Ryzen™ AI Software version 1.2 (or higher).
