Our Approach

At AMD, we embed corporate responsibility across our value chain. We expect our Manufacturing Suppliers, as well as ourselves, to operate in accordance with the AMD Supplier Code of Conduct and its expectations and requirements, which span labor, health and safety, environment, business ethics, and management systems. “Manufacturing Suppliers” are defined as suppliers that AMD buys from directly and that provide direct materials and/or manufacturing services to AMD.

We have adopted the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct  as the AMD Supplier Code of Conduct (’the Code’). The provisions of the Code are derived from and respect internationally recognized standards, including: OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, ILO Fundamental Conventions, and the UN Declaration of Human Rights.

We believe this industry-wide standard is an efficient and effective way to integrate social, environmental, and ethical responsibilities into our supply chain. The RBA Code is reviewed and updated every three years by RBA members and stakeholders to promote its applicability to international norms and relevant supply chain issues.
