Supplier Code of Conduct
AMD is a full member of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA). We adopt the RBA Code of Conduct as our Supplier Code of Conduct.
Advancing human rights, environmental sustainability, and supply chain resilience.
AMD is a key part of an extensive global supply chain creating products to advance high-performance and adaptive computing that helps to enable the future. Together with our supply chain and industry partners, AMD embraces the opportunity to meet demand while driving social and environmental progress in the supply chain.
We have set public goals and are committed to making meaningful progress in our corporate responsibility efforts.
100% of AMD Manufacturing Suppliers1 to have a public greenhouse gas emissions reduction goal by 2025
80% of AMD Manufacturing Suppliers to source renewable energy3 by 2025
100% of AMD Manufacturing Supplier factories to have a Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) audit or equivalent by 2025 (base year 2020)
80% of AMD Manufacturing Suppliers by spend to participate in a capacity building activity by 2025
Partnering with Suppliers to Uplift Worker Voice
In 2023, three Manufacturing Suppliers at four facilities in Malaysia and Taiwan offered migrant workers anonymous surveys to gain insight into the workers’ recruitment experience. The surveys were voluntary and available in the workers’ native languages. They provided new insights, including the number of labor agents that workers use and their level of satisfaction with those agents.
We believe we can have the most impact on addressing the systemic causes of forced and bonded labor by investing in capacity building with Manufacturing Suppliers. Since 2020, 95% of AMD suppliers in Malaysia, Taiwan, and Japan have completed the RBA Forced Labor Prevention workshop, enhancing their ability to identify, remediate, and prevent forced labor.
We believe collective action drives greater impact than one company acting alone. For this reason, multi-stakeholder partnerships are an important aspect of managing our supply chain responsibly.
We respect human rights throughout our company and value chain, from raw minerals sourcing to end product use. This encompasses everything from how we design our products to how our supply chain partners manufacture and how our customers use our technology.
Equipping suppliers with knowledge and tools helps prevent negative impacts and promote continuous improvement. Training spans topics from forced labor prevention to reducing GHG emissions.
