More About Brian
Brian Amick is the Senior Vice President of Technology and Engineering at AMD, where he oversees the centralized engineering function and drives the execution of our roadmaps and technology delivery to the product engineering teams. He is responsible for development of all CPU core strategy, Server SOC architecture and implementation, Infinity Fabric, CPU software development tool chain, global silicon debug tools, Interconnect IP/subsystems, Wireless IP, Security IP, Central Design Methodology, Virtual Bring Up, and Signal & Power Integrity across AMD product lines.
Prior to his current role, Amick was the Senior Vice President of Central Engineering. With his deep technical expertise and strong leadership, the team successfully delivered world-class IP portfolios to enable AMD’s cutting-edge products across all business units.
Amick rejoined AMD from Marvell where he was Senior Vice President of the Processor Group, responsible for the development of all processors. Prior to Marvell, Amick was Vice President of Engineering at Synopsys, where he led a variety of IPs as part of the Solutions Group. Previously, Amick held multiple positions across AMD and Sun Microsystems.
Amick holds a Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
