More About Mathew

Mat Hein is senior vice president and chief strategy officer of corporate development at AMD, responsible for advancing the company’s strategy across an expanded market for high-performance and adaptive computing solutions. In this role, he drives cross-functional alignment of the company’s strategic planning and execution initiatives, including venture investments and acquisitions to accelerate growth.

Hein has more than 20 years of experience in business development, technology investment banking and capital raising transactions for established and emerging growth companies in the semiconductor, high-performance computing and broader technology markets.

Prior to joining AMD in 2022, Hein served as a partner at DBO Partners, where he was named a Top Investment Banker in North America for 2020 by MergerLinks. He also held a variety of leadership roles at Morgan Stanley, including managing director of the Technology Investment Banking Group and global head of Semiconductor Banking.

Hein holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering and a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from Stanford University.
