AMD Research is very proud to have been directly involved in the efforts that resulted in the recent announcement of the DOE's decision to use AMD CPUs, GPUs, and software in its upcoming Frontier and El Capitan exascale supercomputers. To get the most out of these incredible machines, scientists and application programmers will want to start learning about the newest software and tools for AMD’s exascale solutions.  Over the past several months, AMD has been delivering a tutorial on “Intro to AMD GPU Programming with HIP” as part of the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility (OLCF) training series as well as at the Annual Exascale Meeting in Houston. The tutorial covers AMD GPU hardware, GPU programming concepts, GPU programming software, and porting existing CUDA codes with HIP. The tutorial materials have been archived for all to learn from.
