AMD is committed to ensuring the highest levels of compliance across the many standards that govern different industry management systems. As a member of JEDEC and RBA, AMD works with customers and suppliers to comply with industry standards. We strive to reduce the amount of hazardous substances in our products. AMD complies with all of the following certifications and standards to meet the highest requirements for quality, safety and environmental protection.

RoHS

AMD products (*) are RoHS compliant with the addition of exemptions where necessary.  RoHS compliance indicates that the presence of any of the restricted substances does not exceed the maximum stated concentration per homogeneous material as defined by the China Directive and EU RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU and the Directive (EU) 2015/863 Amendment as well as UK Regulation The Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2012 (amended 1 January 2021)

* Products designated for military/space do not fall under RoHS requirements and may contain Pb. Please consult relevant product material declarations.

REACH

REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemical substances) is the European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use (EC 1907/2006), enacted on July 1, 2017. The REACH Regulation identifies Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) that must not be used, manufactured or imported without the prior authorization of regulatory bodies. AMD products(*) are designed and manufactured to comply with REACH regulations.

* Does not apply to military / aerospace products containing Pb.

Halogen and EPA TSCA Statements

Product is compliant to IEC 61249-2-21:2003 in that all homogeneous materials contain less than 900 ppm of chlorine or 900 ppm of bromine for total concentration of less than 1,500 ppm of chlorine and bromine combined.

AMD products conform to the applicable provisions of the EPA Toxic Substances Control Act (ACT).

CA Prop65

Prop 65 requires “clear and reasonable” warnings to be given if, in the course of doing business, a person knowingly and intentionally exposes an individual in California to a chemical on the Prop 65 List. Prop 65 also prohibits knowingly discharging or releasing a chemical on the Prop 65 List such that it is likely to, or will, enter any California drinking water source.

AMD semiconductor products and evaluation kits are not intended to expose any person to any chemical on the Prop 65 List during normal product use. Accordingly, the Prop 65 “clear and reasonable” warnings requirements do not apply to AMD semiconductor Products, boards, and evaluation kits.

As a result, AMD semiconductor products, boards, and evaluation kits do not include warnings specifically related to Prop 65 or the Prop 65 List chemicals and AMD does not make available a specific list of Prop 65 List chemicals that may be contained in our semiconductor products, boards, and evaluation kits.

Persistent Organic Compounds

Advanced Micro Devices confirms that AMD products comply with requirements set forth in Recast of Persistent Organic pollutants (POPs) Regulation (EU) 2019/1021 to include substances defined in Annex I and Annex II.

EU REACH Annex XVII Article 67

REACH Annex XVII, Article 67 identifies restrictions on certain substances that might be present in electrical and electronic equipment.  These substance restrictions also apply to distributors who resell components and sub-assemblies, and retailers who resell finished equipment.  To the best of AMD's knowledge, none of AMD's products contain any substance subject to Annex XVII restrictions.
