AMD Vivado Design Suite 2026.1 comes with new device support including Versal RF Series, AI Edge Series Gen 2, Prime Series Gen 2, and Premium Series Gen 2 adaptive SoCs as well as Spartan™ UltraScale+™ FPGAs.

NoC and QoR enhancements for Versal devices
  • Multi-top NoC simulation, text-based report, and logical NoC viewer 
  • QoR enhancements with retiming updates, XPM memory optimization, and mixed RAM directive
DFX + Segmented Configuration support within PL
  • Enabling the Dynamic Function eXchange (DFX) flow within the programmable logic for 2nd generation Versal devices with Segmented Configuration as the default flow

Designers can download partial bitstreams to their AMD devices while the remaining logic continues to operate. Dynamic Function eXchange allows designers to move to fewer or smaller devices, reduce power, and upgrade systems in real-time.
