Demo Title

Description

Single-Chip AI Acceleration Powered by AMD Versal™ AI Edge Series Gen 2 adaptive SoC

The AMD Versal™ AI Edge Series Gen 2 is projected to offer up to 10X scalar compute, up to 3X TOPS/watt for inference, and world-class programmable logic, delivering single-chip intelligence for embedded AI systems. This demo showcases the next-generation ARM A78 Octal processing system, which enables ASIL D/SIL 3 postprocessing.

AI Engine-ML Inferencing Powered by AMD Versal AI Edge Series Gen 1 & 2 Adaptive SoCs

Low latency and power-efficient AI acceleration will become critical for many embedded applications. The AMD AIE-ML array of inference engines found on the AMD Versal AI Edge Series Gen 1 & 2 adaptive SoCs meets this need. Visitors can interact with this demo, which provides inventory tracking of fruit using accelerated machine-learning inference on several simultaneous video input streams.

Industrial PC with integrated Machine Vision Frame Grabber

This demo showcases the AMD Embedded+ integrated compute platform featuring the AMD Ryzen™ Embedded R2314 processor and Versal AI Edge CE2302 adaptive SoC on a mini-ITX motherboard (VPR-4616-SYS). A factory-automation camera is connected to the compact, Embedded+ platform via Ethernet, and image manipulation is offloaded to the AMD Versal AI Edge adaptive SoC and displayed via AMD Ryzen Embedded Radeon™ graphics.

AMD Kria™ SOMs ROS2 Distributed Control

This demo shows distributed control across the robot controller (K26) and multiple drives (4 x K24) using the ROS 2 control package implementing motor control and digital-twin visualization of an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) on a factory floor and replicating physical movements in real-time.

Large Language Model Acceleration on AMD Ryzen Embedded 8000 Series Processors

This demonstrates an AI large language model (LLM) accelerated by AI on AMD Ryzen Embedded 8000 Series Processors in a mini-PC with the Windows-based AMD Ryzen AI SDK.

RISC-V with AMD MicroBlaze™ V

The AMD MicroBlaze V processor is a soft-core RISC-V processor IP for AMD adaptive SoCs and FPGAs is shown in a Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) configuration for safe and secure applications. The MicroBlaze V TMR, on AMD Artix UltraScale+ FPGAs, is controlling a simulated cooling system.

Automated Parking

Reference ECU with AMD Kria K26 and Automotive connectivity carrier board. This demo is an automated parking ECU proof-of-concept. It uses Cognata’s SimCloud simulation software for scenario creation, Xylon’s LogiRecorder for ECU stimulation and return path control of digital world vehicle modeling, and an AMD Kria automotive carrier and K26 SOM for the APA ECU model.

IVX (In-Vehicle Experience)

AMD In-Vehicle Experience with ADAS proof-of-concept. Leveraging AMD Ryzen Embedded V2000 APU plus AMD Versal adaptive SoC (VCK190) to demonstrate an example IVI experience using the Virtualized Automotive Stack (XEN + Android Automotive) along with an adaptive SoC “Vision hub” concept, to provide SV (surround view) and DMS (driver monitoring). Additionally, a V2000 is used to support AAA gaming for rear-seat entertainment.

Switchback
Featured on the hit international television show, BattleBots® (WCVII).

Straight from the BattleBots® Arena in Las Vegas to Embedded World, a battle-tested Switchback sponsored by AMD and featuring AMD Zynq™ UltraScale+ MPSoC(s) for the most responsive motor control.
